How I start

My first job is to find out what a company is (or wants to be), and what that might feel like. A logo will be only as good as the comprehensiveness and quality of this discussion, which begins before the design work does and continues through development, the refinement phase and the logo's application to your corporate materials. The designer's talent, inventiveness and ability to draw out and respond to feedback needs to be matched by a client's clarity in honestly articulating reactions and feelings to the work being reviewed. In order to understand more about a client, I like to get answers or at least reactions to the questions included below. In addition, I might assemble and show an array of diverse art and design work gathered from books and various other sources to help understand your likes and dislikes, and to aid in focusing in on what may work for a client, or at least narrow the possibilities somewhat.
